D R Horton Las Vegas Homes – Smart Features
Every D R Horton home is built with a great floor plan, energy-efficient features, and smart technology. New home technology is a standard feature. Their smart home system offers you the option to operate it with a hands-free voice-controlled device.
When away from home, features are on your smartphone or a computer app. You can also choose whether to use this feature or not, but regardless, all this technology remains as future selling features when you sell.
D R Horton’s smart technology system includes built-in wireless networks, cameras and doorbells, and programmable thermostats for no additional charge. Also included is Z-Wave, a one-touch leaving the house app for locking all your doors, turning off all the lights, and lowering or raising the thermostat temperature.
Z-Wave is one of two smart home technology systems that are the standard that companies need to be compatible with when manufacturing add-on accessories. This will ensure that this technology will not become obsolete anytime soon.

Within their brand, DR Horton Las Vegas, NV homes for sale are offered in 3 types of homes.
Express Homes- the most affordable line they offer. In Las Vegas, these homes are typically two-story to keep costs down and offer a lower price per square foot.
Emerald Homes- have an elegant exterior and interior. High-end fixtures and products are used throughout the home. Coming in both one and two stories, this brand’s style and practically mix well together.
Freedom Homes- are designed for more of a lock and leave lifestyle. They are designed for the younger and older crowds, including low-maintenance yards and security features.

Master Planned Community
DR Horton Valley Vista is a master-planned community in the fast-growing city of North Las Vegas. The community was in the top 10 selling master-planned communities in the US for 2021.
This is a testament to the quality of the neighborhoods. At it’s build out, Valley Vista DR Horton will have more than 3,500 homes. Situated over 600 acres, D R Horton Valley Vista will also have 3 parks and walking trails throughout.
DR Horton and Express Homes
DRH builds homes in Valley Vista under both Express Homes and DR Horton. Valley Vista has been around long enough that some subdivisions have been completed. DR Horton Alpha Pointe was one of the subdivisions.
DR Horton Omega Pointe is another. Currently, DR Horton Orion Pointe,Express Homes Aries Pointe, and Express Homes Nova Pointe are selling homes. Alpha Pointe DR Horton was one of the first neighborhoods to be completed.

DR Horton in North Las Vegas, NV & Henderson
North Las Vegas’ DR Horton home communities at Valley Vista are built on 200 acres of a 600-acre master-planned community. Some North Las Vegas builders offer a bare-bones product to keep prices down.
If you plan on adding upgrades to a basic home, you’ll want to look at a DR Horton home for the same price. Basic DR Horton homes for sale in North Las Vegas include many features that are upgrades with other builders.
You need to be aware – their base home often has more upgrades. Compare apples to apples. DR Horton usually costs less than other builders for acomparable house.
Their brand new homes include higher ceilings, pavers on the driveways, multiple energy-efficient features as well as their Z-Wave smart home package. We make sure to include DR Horton North Las Vegas on our “area of town” tour.
DR Horton Homes in Henderson, NV will only be resales or standing inventory. Henderson has very little vacant land left for builders to purchase. Henderson has Las Vegas to the north, the Lake Mead National Recreation Area to the east, and Sloan Canyon Petroglyphs to the south.
Henderson West still has some undeveloped land. If you want a new home in Henderson, we need to find a house for you quickly.
Scattered DR Horton Custom Homes
Another trend DR Horton Homes in Las Vegas excels at, is buying individual lots and building spec homes. If you have a vacant home lot and are looking for a builder, let’s interview the custom home division of DR Horton new construction homes and a couple other builders.
Northwest Las Vegas has many homes built in buffer zones around Rural Neighborhood Preserve neighborhoods on large lots in the resale market. There are some, but far fewer in Southwest Las Vegas.
Scattered around the valley are newer and brand new DR Horton homes on 1/2 acre lots, not inside sub-divisions. These DR Horton houses are not listed on the new home search program. If you like DR Horton’s floorplans, let us show you some of these too.
