After V and Nero defeat Proto Angelo, Mission 08 - Demon King begins with the two parting ways. This is part of IGN's Devil May Cry 5 Walkthrough and includes Blue Orb Fragments, Secret Missions, and more.
Nero heads into an opening, which promptly closes behind him.Continue forward down this path. There isn't much to see except a few enemy Empusas.
Eventually, you'll make it to a small arena that closes in on you. Defeat the enemies here to move on.

Up ahead, you'll find your first "lava fall." Jump on the moving platform, and first look out to your left for a path to jump on. There are some extra Red Orbs here. Then, hop back on jump off at the top to your right.
Just ahead of you, there's a barely visible Grim Grip point to latch onto - but first, shoot it. There's another one you can shoot and then grab onto with RB/RT + B/Circle in midair, which will fling you to a ledge with Red Orbs.
After collecting these and dealing with the demonic roots ahead, enter the... "blood elevator" by getting close enough to it to prompt an action.
Keep going, deeper into the tree. Eventually, you'll reach another area that closes you in with enemies - but this time, the arena will begin to fall. This isn't a timed "defeat all enemies" challenge. We think you can make it to the opening ahead if you act fast enough, using the enemies as a platform and double jump to get through it. Otherwise, the platform will drop, and you will have to defeat enemies to move forward.
Down a passage, look for a series of ledges on your left and hop up them to a flame-platform. Stand on it and press RB/RT to automatically target the Grim Grip point up ahead of you. Use it to get to the ledge above.
Next, Nero will comment on how there isn't anywhere to go but down, and he's right. Take the long jump down to continue.
In the next area, you'll encounter a new enemy: Baphomet. These small, floating demons will shoot ice projectiles at you, so be wary as you fight other enemies in their vicinity.
After defeating the Baphomet and other enemies, continue onward to the next blood lift ahead. It will spit Nero out near a Divine Statue - it looks like a woman with a lion mask and an hourglass on her back. Interact with this to customize Nero, like you would at Nico's van.

Up ahead, there will be another arena below, and a Blue Orb Fragment across.
Don't jump down! You can make it to the Blue Orb Fragment if you have the double-jump ability and a Gerbera Devil Breaker equipped. Luckily, you can purchase both at the Divine Statue if you don't have them. Press B/Circle without targeting while in the air to dash through the air. Practice a bit before attempting the jum - you won't have a second chance.
Down in the pit, you'll encounter soldiers. You can deflect their swords with well-timed attacked, but be weary of their shields. Wait until they slash at you, and counterattack after successfully avoiding the attack.
Again, this arena will drop down. Defeat the enemies to move on. At the next blood lift, look behind it for some red orbs, then take it up.
If you need it, look behind you to find a Gerbera Devil Breaker once you make it. Up ahead, you'll be locked in with a few enemies again. Defeat them and continue to the blood waterfall ahead.
This second lava-fall is where you can find Secret Mission 05! Keep your eye out to the right on your way up for a platform. Jump there, then use a Grim Grip point to get through a hole on the other side. See the Secret Missions page for complete instructions and tips.
When you come back to the lavafall after activating the Secret Mission, make sure to ride it all the way to the top. There's a Gold Orb up there!
Next up is the last blood elevator.

Don't immediately enter it!. Defeat the demon root behind it. This will cause a Blue Orb Fragment to appear in front of the elevator.
This floor is your last. Access the make-shift phone booth on your left to call Nico and buy upgrades if you like. There's a boss fight at the end of this path.
Boss Fight: Urizen
Nero will approach Urizen to again challenge him, and to prove he isn't "Dead Weight."
For the first phase of this fight, attack the red crystal protecting the Demon King - just be wary, as occasionally it will erupt in spikes. Remember, you can jump to gain invincibility frames on the way up. Use this to dodge Urizen's laser beams - by simply jumping over them.
Strafe back and forth, right to left, when closing the distance to the crystal to help avoid attacks, and jump to dodge. When Urizen throws a time control bubble at you, again, jump to get out and potentially dodge any attacks he throws your way.
Don't leave the red crystal alone for too long. If you do, Urizen will heal it. Once you've dealt enough damage to it, a cutscene will begin, and Urizen will rise from his throne.
This phase of the boss battle is extremely difficult. But, that's okay - you're meant to lose. Do you best to survive to get a handle on Urizen's attack patterns in preparation for a real boss battle later. After all of Nero's health is depleted, an unnamed demon will drop to rescue him, and Nero's vision will fade to black.
